Module 1 : Getting Started with Your CIHE Account
Your CIHE Account and Microsoft 365
Your CIHE account gives you access to the digital systems and services you will use throughout your studies. Your CIHE email address is your official student email address. You should check it regularly, as CIHE will use it to send you important information about your studies. You can use your CIHE account to access services including:
- Outlook and your CIHE email
- Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneDrive
- Microsoft Teams
- Moodle: your learning management system for classes and assignments.
- CIHE campus computers
- Ask CIHE: helpdesk ticketing system for support
🔒 ONE LOGIN, ACCESS TO EVERYTHING Your CIHE account uses Single Sign-On (SSO), so you can use your CIHE email address and password to securely access CIHE systems, including Moodle, Meshed and Ask CIHE. You do not need separate passwords for each system.
How do I access my CIHE email?
Entering Username and Password
- Go to the login page: https://www.office.com.
- Enter your email address (e.g.,
12345678@student.cihe.edu.au). - Enter the password from your orientation email.
- Click Sign In.
- You will be prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for added security.

How do I reset my CIHE email password?
If you’re trying to reset the password for a CIHE Microsoft account (Office 365/ Microsoft 365 account managed by your CIHE), follow these steps:
Option 1:Self-Password Reset (Quicker)
- Go to the Office 365 Password
Reset Page: Visit https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com.
OR
- Enter Your School Email:
- Enter the CIHE email address (the one provided by CIHE during the orientation).
- Verify Your Identity:
- You will need to verify your identity. Options may include:
Receiving a verification code via email or text or call
- You will need to verify your identity. Options may include:
- Create a New Password:
- After successfully verifying your identity, you can enter a new password.
CIHE password requirement- Lowercase, Uppercase, Special character, Number
- After successfully verifying your identity, you can enter a new password.
- Sign In with New Password:
- Once the password is reset, sign in to your account using the new password.

Note: You will be using Microsoft Account to login to Meshed, Moodle, and Teams.
